Static reports out, living dashboards in.
Engineered end to end.
Grand Central 3.0 is a fully custom-built data tool I designed and implemented for Xbox Support teams. Engineered the pipeline from the ground up — starting with raw Compass and CXT exports, transforming them through advanced Excel logic, merging via Power Query, and visualizing in dynamic Power BI dashboards.
Every data merge, filter, sort, and transformation was crafted to handle messy, inconsistent data across multiple platforms. Replaced static pivot reports and manual audit requests with a living toolset — updated weekly, self-serviceable, tailored to both technical and editorial users.
Visibility, link intel, error awareness.
Teams can now review published assets across IA, GUID, and Contact Us modules with no engineering help. With over half a million links indexed, migrations and redesigns are guided by real data, not assumptions. Surface dashboards flag isOffline risks early, improving UX and troubleshooting.
71,000+ Contact Us modules across 75 locales tracked, visualized, and no longer hidden in CSV hell. Dashboards reflect milestones like the 4,000+ asset surge in March, giving teams historical proof and future planning support.
Three stages, one pipeline.
Inputs
+ sources.
Raw exports from multiple Xbox content systems — messy, inconsistent, often broken. The pipeline normalizes everything before it touches a chart.

- Compass data

Transformation
+ logic.
Excel as a transformation engine — lookup chains, error flags, pattern detection. Power Query merges and shapes feed into the model.

Published assets tracked
Grand Central isn’t just a dashboard — it’s a source of clarity. The tool transformed how Xbox Support teams audit content, uncover link dependencies, and track error trends. Here’s what changed:
- Content visibility at scale — teams can review published assets across IA, GUID, and Contact Us modules with no engineering help required.
- Link intelligence unlocked — with over half a million links indexed, migrations and redesigns are guided by real data, not assumptions.
- Cloud error awareness — surface-level dashboards now show more than counts; they flag
isOfflinerisks early, improving UX and troubleshooting. - Localization clarity — 71,000+ Contact Us modules across 75 locales tracked, visualized, and no longer hidden in CSV hell.
- Publishing surge tracking — dashboards reflect key milestones like the 4,000+ asset surge in March, giving teams historical proof and future planning support.
Three takeaways, still useful.
Excel
engineering.
Learned how to shape and optimize thousands of messy rows with lookup chains, error flags, and pattern detection logic.
Pipeline
thinking.
From input to transformation to output — designed a repeatable, transparent data flow that others can maintain.
Scalable
insights.
Designed dashboards that are not just reports but tools for making confident decisions and telling a story with data.
